I plan to read it too.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

I'm reading the book now, it is an interesting read. He is pro-gun, but still has reservations about certain parts of gun culture as a whole.

Just finished the book last week. Good read and well written. He's quite the liberal but still a gun owning supporter. Nothing wrong with that.

Great read! Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership founder Aaron Zelman's revelation that Sen. Thomas Dodd received a translation of the German gun laws that made it illegal for Jews to own guns just four months before Congress passed the Gun Control Act of 1968 was particularly troubling.

Both laws are chillingly similar in that both assumed that gun ownership was a government-granted privilege, both prohibited certain classes of of people from owning guns, and both required store owners to keep gun-sale records (which the Nazis eventually used to round up all privately held guns, effectively disarming the populace and eliminating any chance they would have had to protect themselves).

Zelman made it clear that America's first big federal gun law was based on laws the Nazis had written to disarm the Jews before exterminating them! Sadly, nobody paid attention; especially not Dianne Feinstein, who as a granddaughter of Polish Jews, continues to support the disarming of civilians after what happened to the Jews in Europe!
