    Costa Mesa this weekend

I need ammo, but don't have time for the lines I've been hearing about. I basically have about 3 hours total to spend at the show. Do I bother going?

Last time I went was about 3 years ago. The lines to get in weren't that long, but I've been hearing horror stories about recent shows, and the lines just to get in.

    TIA

    $5/10 bucks to park
    $16 to get in
Arrive 1 1/2 hours early to get in line

    no thanks

I am becoming my grandfather- when the place is packed and panic has things priced above what I will pay, the shows are no longer a fun time for me.....

Depends what you're comfortable paying for anmo.

You'll get the same or better deal for ammo online and shipped to your door. No lines, no hassle, lots of free time to spare in the comfort of your home.

Every time I go to the show I'm disappointed in the low quantity of guns to check out and over abundance of swap meet type items for sale.

        Not this time.
The panic peaked, and will only come down further.
Too many low information shoppers will still make it too crowded for my free time.

Aside from the above, the show has just too much non-gun stuff for me to bother going anymore.

I went in Janurary for the first time....wasnt horrible. There was 3 "large" ammo vendors. One line took up to a 3 hour wait to get helped, the other took 10 min to buy ammo and leave, but wasnt as big of a vendor. I agree, they had a lot of useless crap for sale like candles and trinkets...its a gun show, not a swap meet!! Thats across the street!!! I think im gonna go this coming sunday and hope for the best. I try to get there around 7 so i can be towards the front of the line, quickly buy my stuff and leave before it gets crazy

Sunday would be better, but I think the ammo will be dried up by then. No?

I plan on going with my bother, but we are not going until Sunday afternoon. Not looking for ammo so no need to fight the crowd Saturday morning.

depends on how bad you need that ammo and if the wait in the lines is worth your time. if you're not gonna shoot immediately it would probably be better for you to wait.

I helped set up a friend's table at Costa Mesa today, Miwall has primers, $35/thousand.Powder is $25 per pound, 8 pound kegs are $180.

It's not even a gun show it's a high price every thing is gold in their eyes crowded beef jerky sale. Stay home and watch the Food Network.

Thanks. I wonder how many they are limiting to each person.

                              This is a joke right?

If not, theres ammo all over the place online (some counties/cities restrict ammo shipments though). gunbot.net is a good place to start looking.
