    is it a P7M8 or the psp type? that's a very good price for a p7m8..

    m8 = 8rd mag

    m13 = 13rd mag

    p7m10 is a 40 cal with 10rd mag.

          That is a screaming deal for a P7M8. Things to look for- is there a ground smooth area on the right side of the slide forward of the ejection port? This would make it a police trade in gun. European police guns had an agency stamp on the slide and when sold the mark would be ground off and refinished before sale. This would bring the value down a little, but $825 is still a very good price. Make sure it's a P7M8 it has the ambidextrous mag release. The P7 and PSP has the mag release on the heel next to the back of the magazine bottom. There are a lot of police trade in PSPs that were imported into the US and these sold for as low as $600. But you don't see many of them in California and even $825 for a police trade in PSP would probably be fair value in California.

            That's a buy deal.

            100%. Especially if you intend to shoot it.

            It's already worth more than that.

              It says P7 and M8 on it, as for the mag release i think when i last looked it had it on the back of the pistol grip towards the top, but i could be very mistaken, i live to blocks away so im going back to check it out again for ground out marks and such, i thought it ws a good deal when i first started seeing people selling these on calguns. I will let you know when i get back.

                        I got it, yippee but dont tell my girl friend she will kill me, got it for $800 thats $25 less than was asking, i think because i live in walking distance.

                        So i checked it out i can see no ground marks, it has not been reblued.

                        It has the double sided mag release which is behind the trigger guard when pressed it ejects the mag with some force.

                        Im assuming the round button below the back of the slide and housed on the frame is the take down button, what else could it be?

                        It has a land yard ring on the back bottom of the grip.

                        And it feels friggin awsome in the hand all metal construction looks well put together.

                        the ffl dealer told me it was an early American one which didnt make any sense to me as it has made in Germany on it.

                        In fact i wrote down the markings and names-------

                        Heckler and Koch GMBH

                        9mmx19

                        OBERNDORF/N MADE IN GERMANY

                        Then written next to that is CHANTILLY VA

                        Then it has made in west Germany

                        then the serial number 9---2

                        and a couple of stamped German eagles--- one on the slide and one on the frame.

                        that about raps it up for discription.

                              Great buy, what your dealer was saying was it was an older import by HK. They were located in Chantilly VA many years ago, then moved to Sterling, VA, now they moved to Alabama and HK guns now are marked with the town in Alabama they are located in.
