    Low Inventory At Turners

I was at Turners (Signal Hill) to get some cleaning supplies. Thought I would look around at the firearm display cases to look at a Springfield XD 45. To my amazement, I was staring at near empty cases. For a second there I thought they were packing up to get ready to move to another location or something. There were more scopes in one case than pistols (revolver and semi) combined from all the other cases. Simply put, cleaned out. What the heck is going on? Ammo Bros in Cerritos had more, but not by much. Is it like this all over the state or just SoCal? What about other states? AZ, NV, OR, WA, UH, CO, TX...? It's almost pandemic.

With this said, after the "panic" is behind us, how long will it take for inventory levels to catch up to demand? If by some miracle the AWB actually does pass the Senate, is this what we have to look forward to? For lack of a better phrase, this sucks *****! I feel fortunate enough to have my reloading supplies stocked up, for the time being that is. All the dems have done is make the firearm industry extremely wealthy.

    Just venting. Thanks for reading.

I read glock has 1.6M units backordered. They have build 9 million units since 1986. Do the math. This shortage aint going away any time soon.

Yeah I was there a couple of weeks ago, and all I saw was a couple of 38 snubs and a compact .40. Plenty of shotguns though. Almost all of the ammo was gone too. Really sucks.

My boy in Texas says his stores are out. A friend told me things were slim in Nevada. Another in Alabama says things are bare there and a coworker told me his dad in Louisiana says it's the same there and that as a "gun guy" his dad was even approached by the local Chief of Police asking if he knew where they could get some ammo to train with.

Guns/ammo are coming in to stores you just need to be lucky enough to be there when they do. I have seen the gun cases in the Turner's in San Berdo go through surges of inventory since the frenzy started. They even had an AR on the wall last Friday.

Nope, but possibly last. Online buying seems to be working just fine. I can "visit" 20 online stores to the one brick-n-mortar store. If timing is the key, I have better luck surfing the web.

yeah, hard to find stuff.....the day I wanted to buy a new 9mm handgun I had to drive to 3 different stores.....still cheaper locally for actual guns, but everything else easier online

I was at Pasadena store back in January picking up some cleaning supply, and I thought the store got ransacked. There are NOTHING firearm and consumable (ie ammo) left anywhere in sight.

Now the Glendale has banned the show, I have to drive a lot further just to stand in line and hopefully get some ammo.

I have a theory this is what the anti-gun ppl want to happen. They know some of us are short tempered and all these banning will eventually set some people off, and goes on a rampage. At the same time they want to see the diversity gets further and more extreme, which gives them a great leverage to argue about how "crazy" we owners are.

I think we are getting trolled.

Just firearms and ammo. Plenty of fishing gear.

I drossed a pistol at Direct Action Solutions the morning of December 14. Place was inducing with all the cool stuff.

Went back for pickup the 27th and it was stripped almost bare.

Bought my last rifle a week before Sandy.. after Sandy it took me months to find a magazine or two. Now I dont even wanna bother taking it out to shoot because ammo for it is close to $1.50 a round and when I have taken it to the shop to have it modified I get those jealous "I wish I had one too" stares. So basically Im no better off than someone who cant get one at all. I dont feel sorry for anyone who lucked out because this event was foreseen YEEARS ago when these morons put a democrap in office

Overheard the Glock store guy at the Del Mar gun show say " Yea, put $100.- down and the gun will be in 4 or 5 weeks, at that time pay the balance and DROS the gun".
