Howard Leight Impact Sports. Nothing else is in the same price range or quality."A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero -

These guys are right. For the price they are very good. I accidently left mine on for a week and they still work with the same batteries.Comment

The Impact Sports have an auto cut off. After two hours, they switch off in case they are left on.
On Amazon, you can get them in the mid 40's by buying the "used" ones. Used means new but returned to Amazon for whatever reason. May be out of package but still new and with full warranty. I've bought 3 pair of used with no issues.Comment

+1 on the Howard Leight. The amplifying effect works so well, I'm tempted to use them as hearing aids. As a matter of fact, the first time I wore them at the range, I was wondering why everyone was talking so loudly. Then I realized I had the volume set high, and everyone was talking normally.Comment

I own MANY pairs of electronic muffs. From MSA Sordins down to the Howard Leights.
Those Leights are very good at protecting the ears.
NOTE:
Please take this old pharts advice,
If you are in a indoor range. Double up. That means use foam ear plugs under your electronic ears.
When the guy in the next lane fires off his ported 44mag. You will be thanking me for this pointer.
You only get one set of ears and eyes in this lifetime. Protect the heck out of them.

I do the majority of my shooting indoors. I've doubled up on earpro since I first purchased my own gear. Having foam plugs does NOT restrict your ability to hear conversations around you and it's just cheap added protection.
Off topic from electronic ear protector, but for those that use foam ear plugs, please make a effort to fit them in your ears correctly. Smashing them between your fingers and jamming that waded mess in your ears doesn't really do much! This video on proper foam plug fitting is probably one of the most important videos I've ever watched that applied to my shooting.
