    .22 SBR??

    Ok... I have a Glock 17 with a 22 conversion.

Can I use a detachable stock when it is a rimfire? Legally that is? I know that they ruled you can turn a pistol back from a rifle without permanently changing its status but is it qualify as a SBR if it is rimfire?

Im not thinking clearly on this so need advice. The idea behind it is to have the conversion and stock together in my BOB for hunting small game and defense once 9mm has been spent. I know it might not be the best solution but its the one my brain is thinking about now.

Thank you guys for any help and clarification on the subject.

    no.

don't SBR any of your weapons unless you want to lose your rights as a gun owner.

So having a stock on a .22 pistol makes it a SBR?

        Yes.

Where did you get the idea that rimfire was exempt from being an SBR? Don't do it unless you really want to get some prison lovin'.

Just OWNING a stock for a GLOCK can be a felony under the Constructive Possession Statute.

If you have one, get rid of it.!

Thanks guys, I am getting what makes an AW and a SBR confused. I figured it was a no go but wanted to check. I Do Not own a stock but have seen more variations of them pop up on Amazon while searching for other glock items. I figured I was missing something if people were manufacturing them.

On amazon? I wouldn't be surprised if such items were primarily getting bought for airsoft.

The ruling of pistol>rifle>pistol is from the ATF, not the DOJ. Outside of CA, it's kosher to do that if you configure it legally, but in CA you absolutely cannot convert a rifle into a pistol regardless of whether it was already a pistol before becoming a rifle.
