    DROZ

How many years ago was the Droz requirement used in California? Im trying to determine which of my guns are actually on file with the state feds etc? I really cant remmeber ive had some of my guns for so long i dont remember when this requirement was instituted. Honestly i want to know what they know i own when they knock on my door and want my weapons. My feeling is this will occur in the very near future I really hope im worng but things dont look good. I cant be the only person in this situation and we can all see whare things are going in this state. The politicians dont really care what we think or feel and from what ive read here the NRA is going to be no help to us Californians.

Not sure what a DROZ is? Perhaps you mean DROS? Also, your crazy talk will just invite more attention from the gun grabbers.

      ...
The DROS system was originally started in the 1920's.
The Federal does not have registration, but form 4473 was started in (I think) 1968.
For a list of the firearms you have purchased and have the sale recorded with the state of California, Get this form http://oag.ca.gov/sites/all/files/pd...teCitizen.pdf? and have it notarized and sent it to the California DOJ. (Note that there are errors and not all the information may be complete. )
I don't care what you call me, just don't call me late for dinner. Stupid Idiot will suffice, after all, it's only words.

You must define something before you can understand it.

        DROZ
        Dealer Record of Zambonis?

You will have to go do to the Hall of Zamboni Records and Registrations...

        Oh you mean DROS...
To add what bussda said I think it was 1991 or 92 that they started registering Handguns in CA. Rifles will start to be registered in 2014 in CA.

Bussda had it correct - http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/Ti..._Firearms_Laws -- 1924 for the more-or-less current version.

Handgun sales through dealers have been reported to Sacramento since then; 1991 was the year that sales were generally required to use a dealer.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Are all DROS's computerized? I've heard of people who bought guns in the 1970's and the DROS isn't in the state's system.

People have reported that the older paper DROS records are slowly being added to the computer system in a newest to oldest backwards progression.

All of the guns I bought in the 70's, plus those I inherited from my father are in the system.
