When traveling, going through checkpoints for veggies and illegals has become pretty routine. I never thought of 4A and those rights violated when stopped at these checkpoints. I came a across this video of different folks exercising their 4th and 5th amendment rights when stopped for inspection. Pretty ballsy to say the least. But is it smart or will it get you butt thrown in the pokey?

picking your battles is just as important as winning them.
a simple "yes I am a U.S. citizen" is all that is needed. If there are further questions or you feel like your rights are truly being violated (ie, they don't believe you, ask you pull to secondary and begin searching your car for zero cause) then it's time to clam up. But a lot of these guys were "picking a fight" which is obvious by the video camera.
the POINT is, that yes, you can do this if you need to... this video is educational for that... but I wouldn't go around doing what these guys did for kicks... it's just to show you that yes, you are the boss - not the policeyou don't rise to the occasion,
you just fall back on your level of training.
