    So.. Kachalsky...

I did a bit of reading on various things today, and came across a link for an article involving a man named Alan Kachalsky:

Apparently, it was a building super was coming into Kachalsky's apartment and having sex with his Labrador puppy. Slightly disturbing? Yes. Here's the gun related bit:

Kachalsky lives in Rye, NY apparently. Westchester County. I was like, "that name sounds awful familiar..." and went and checked, lo and behold, Alan Kachalsky just happens to be the name of the guy in Kachalsky v Cacace, and it happens to be Westchester County.

He originally believed there to be a burglar in the house, but nothing appeared missing. Just blinds weren't where he left them, open windows when he hadn't, things like that. He *knew* things weren't right though, so he put in a camera system.

Maybe this was the reason he wanted a gun permit in the first place? I could *totally* see why.

Very... odd. Someone profiling you, casing your unit... no idea what's up. But then find out it's someone doing... things to your year old Lab puppy...

    Gross. Ugh.

A gun isn't the answer. We need to teach landlords to not rape dogs.

That is disturbing in so many ways.

Yep, sounds like the same guy. The article you linked indicates that the dog-owner is an attorney. This link indicates that the plaintiff is an attorney: http://onlygunsandmoney.blogspot.com...alsky-and.html .

We should pass a law prohibiting landlords from raping dogs, then give the dog a rape whistle, just in case. Maybe teach the pup to pee on itself, too.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking(on the WTF from Czsp up there).

LOL at the dog/rape whistle comments.

And I was *very* curious about that. I got linked on FB a "Dear Prudence" column for something unrelated but still screwed up, and one of the related links was about an elderly landlord caught boning the dog. The people that wrote in lived in a small unit in the backyard. Well, Prudie linked the article I linked above. When I saw the name of the dog owner, I did a double take.

The facts line up, so I can safely assume it's the same person. But yeah, that is some messed up crap. Even with the burglar suspicion I could see why he'd want a gun permit. Friend of mine said she wouldn't give him one after reading that article. I said "I guess you like weird people coming into your apartment without permission doing strange things to your pets?".

                          Still.

                          Ick.
