    Bass Pro Shop ammo limits

    Just returned from Bass Pro Shop in Manteca with interesting news.

    Seems employees in the hunting department are now able to make up rules for ammunition purchases;

    There were 525 count 22 LR boxes in a shopping cart today, with 4 employees hovering around the cart, they said if you purchase that one box, that is all the ammunition you can purchase.

    Now they have rules posted for ammunition purchases, 10 boxes per customer per day, fair deal, allows everyone to get some.

    Recently they verbally introduced the 1 mega/value pack limit and up to 9 boxes of any other ammunition, sure non-posted rule but yeah I can live with that, keeps someone from grabbing 10 mega/value packs and leaves some on the shelf for others.

    But the made up, non-posted 500 round limit per person, per transaction, especially 22 LR? The the employee starts arguing about it when asked if that was the posted rule, he says would it make you happy if I went in back and made a sign.

    So buyer beware if you're headed to Bass to purchase ammo, the rules are subject to change without notice...

      I was there last weekend. One of the sales people told me they are getting stuff in on a regular basis but there are 100 to 150 guys lined up outside every day waiting for the store to open.

        It's the same in every store that stocks ammo in quantity. Demand is so high that store policies have changed to help stem hoarding and profiteering (good luck on that).

            IMO if you are purchasing a firearm they ought to raise the ammo purchase limit for that caliber...at least double it
