Future Cow Palace shows in question

Just heard on the news this morning, some Calif Senator who wants to get on the bandwagon and be re-elected is introducing something for City Council people to pass some law not to have anymore Crossroads of the West gunshows at the Cow Palace in SF.
I forget the jerks name but please remember him when you vote next time.Sure the shows have the evil guns, but I go also go to get cleaning supplies, salami, beef jerky, range and gun bags and other stuff. Of course, ammo is in bulk, or was and alot of people want to get the ammo there rather than the LGS and pay more.

So stupid, tighter gun control is just not the answer. We need to re-construct our judicial system. If you kill someone in cold blood, you should be put to death within 6 months instead of going to prison and living 30 to 40 years longer than the person or people you murdered. The majority of gun owners just enjoy hunting, range shooting, it is just a great and clean sport. Our ignorant political elected morons need to realize GUNS don't kill people, PEOPLE kill people.
LIFE IS SHORT,DEATH IS FOREVER,SO RELAX AND ENJOY THE RIDE!

Bring the Crossroads gun show to Central Valley where they will be appreciated.

First of all the Cow Palace is on State property in San Mateo County. State Sen. Mark Leno is introducing Senate bill 745 that would require joint approval from both the San Mateo County and San Francisco boards of supervisors before events can be held at the Cow Palace

At first they tried to outright ban gunshows at the Cow Palace and couldn't get that done. Now they're trying an end run by trying to pass legislation that requires the board of supervisors to approve gun shows at the Cow Palace. They'll never give up.

That sucks! I liked it better back when it use to be at the San Mateo Expo Center.

Are the gun shows even worth going to any more? I stopped going to the one in San Diego years ago and I've heard it called the "Junk and Ammo Show." Seems a fitting title to me. Try going to the gun show in Phoenix. Take your money out of this state.

Should be called the "Beanie Baby and Jerky Show".

They've been trying to bring down the CP gun show for a very long time. It's one of the few events that brings in any money for the venue.
A lot of local politicians want to have the CP torn down all together so they can build a transit village or some damn thing. If they kill it off this time I hope the Vallejo show will get a lot bigger.

"Junk & Ammo" show! Holy smokes, you nailed it.

They have gone down hill with tons of worthless trinkets and C R A P being sold.

It's soo sad. They used to be awesome.

Little piece of Cow Palace trivia - in addition to hosting The Golden State Warriors, NHL Hockey, 2 Beatles concerts, The Who, KISS, and many other events it also hosted the 1964 Republican National Convention.
