Help me on my remington 700 base quest

I'm trying to find a good steel base for a remington 5r short action .308. I called SWFA, and they have NOTHING for that action at all. Called a few places online and they either didn't know and told me to order and if it was there they would ship it (not gonna happen because I've had to wait forever for my rifle to be made and shipped) or people just didn't have a clue and told me to get a cheap aluminum base. Anybody have a lead on a solid base for sale, or point me in the right direction anyway.

Just called SWFA, they don't have ANY 700 SA bases in stock.

Part A115 is a 20MOA 700 short action base.

Thanks guys. I picked up a mkIV base at midway that is steel for 75 bucks. I completely spaced midway and brownells. I usually go through the smaller vendors and sometimes forget about them when I get in a hurry. now, low or extra low rings are in my future....

So what is the difference between a 0 MOA & 20 MOA base?

One basically would be flat and inline with the bore of the rifle. The other is angled downward toward the barrel to accomodate for the amount of trajectory needed for a longer distance shot. sorry if typos, I am on a phone.

CamW, I already bought one, but im going to buy a stainless one from murphy and bed it properly too. We will see how a midway return goes.
