Get to help out with active shooter training

So I got asked to help out with some active shooter training. They needed "shooters" and "hostages" so figured it would make for a interesting day. Sounds like simunitions are used so it should be painfull. It will be my first expierence with force on force since we don't have a lot of that kind of training available to non LEO around here.

it should be a great experience. Handgun simunitions aren't bad. You likely won't even feel them with the adrenalin going. Rifle simunitions may hurt a bit more.

I've helped our military police with sim munition training before. I recommend bringing a scarf or something for your neck. The 5.56 rounds made some nice little welts on exposed skin. It was fun though, and taught me a lot about self defense as well. Worth the punishment!

That's what I'm thinking. When else will I get a chance to fire at a moving target that's firing back.

Mole all you want lol. It is inevitable that most law enforcement tactics are ever textbook perfect when you want it to be perfect....especially when badguys make their own rules and draw outside the lines while other innocents panic and get in the way. Chaos is an understatement. But thanks for helping out for the cause...it's good "fun"!!!!

That's the one thing they made a point of was not photog. Oh well
