old ammo

My dad the other day Gabe me a bag from the eighties full of scattered ammo. I've seen this bagbag throughout my child hood. Ammo on appearance looks fine, but I know it's just been in the garage. If it were a small about I'd toss it, my quotation is what are the odds somethings wrong with it?

Ammo from the eighties is not old. People still have and regularly shoot much, much older ammo. Are they reloads or factory? Will not make a difference as to age just in who loaded and do I trust them?

I have shot a box of .22lr ammo from the 70's and it worked fine zero ftf's or fte's.

I have ammo from the 80s also. Found it in the pockets of my old pair of parachute pants. Shot great!!!

I've shot ammo from the 40's and it functioned fine. As long as the ammo has been stored properly it should be fine.

I'm 55.I've shot ammo older than I am without issues.If it's clean and was stored properly,should be like new.

That's what I meant! Storage. It doesn't look corroded or anything, but was in a sports bag from break dancing days. AlL factory ammo. I'll just make sure I wear glasses. Wife is out tomorrow so I'll sneak off and spend four or five hundred of it
