    Kimber Pro Carry II

My current EDC is a G23, I'm seriously thinking of adding a Kimber Pro Carry to my "rotation". Setting aside the anti or pro 1911 or Glock arguments (I've read and heard them too often), what are the thoughts out there on the Kimber for civilian EDC?
I know it's heavier, but how much fully loaded?

Yeah, one problem. Your everyday gun should be a beater that you won't miss when the cops take it for evidence. I have a couple of XDs for that duty. My Kimber 38 super is for fun shooting.

I've considered this and can accept the financial loss.

        28 oz unloaded
        34 oz loaded

It should be a great ccw. I just sold mine btw.

Is there a particular reason you choose to have multiple carry guns in rotation? just curious

Tool should be used. Otherwise not much use.

I EDC a G23 and I also carry a Kimber Gold Combat. I had a Kimber Eclipse Pro and a Ultra Carry on my LTC before. I ran into reliability issues, when it came to putting 500 rounds through them without cleaning them. I like testing my handguns before I carry them to make sure they work through anything. I usually carry my G23 and during the winter I'll carry my Kimber. The Glock and 1911 platforms are the only ones I carry. I like their consistant trigger pull and not having to worry about DA/Sa or DA only guns.

It's always nice to have options because weather and clothing dictates what gun you carry sometimes.
