    Ferndale Gunshow

Ok, for the Northern California people (Humboldt countyish), i.e. Billybob. The Gunshow is in Ferndale now, not Redwood Fairgrounds. It's on April 8-9th (this weekend) and I hope to see some of you guys there.

And I hear it's gonna be HUGE!

It's pretty cool for a small show. Sometimes you find the oddest things there. I actually prefer the small shows over the big ones. Sometimes you can find a real jewel at the little shows. You know the feeling, you spy something special and the seller has got it priced so low that you can't get your wallet out fast enough! Almost never happens at the BIG shows. Too many dealers at the big shows grabbing the bargains on set up day.

Theres the guy that has those "lazy dog" aerial bombs and the ammo dump booth. When Redwood Fairgrounds screwed the show last year I've been hoping they got a new, better place. Because I have to work and the woman wants to wine taste on Saturday, I'll hopefully see the calguns people there on Sunday.

God I miss Ferndale. Lived there for five years and regret leaving such a wonderful place. Glad to see they got the gun show, I always thought they should have one there at the fairgrounds.

            Pretty good little show.

If you're looking for a Keltec P32, there's one there with the hard chromed slide, new in bow for $315.00. If I didn't already have one I'd have grabbed it. I doubt you'll find a new one cheaper anywhere in the state.

Like new early fifties S&W K38 with the gold box for $475. I suspect it could be had for $440-$450.00.

And a very nice looking nickle plated Colt "357 Magnum" with 6" barrel and original grips for $495.00. I think this one could be had for a little less also.

Those are the ones that caught my eye. I'm mainly interested in handguns so I don't pay too much attention to long guns.

For those wanting to know, I didn't see any off list lowers for sale.

I'll be there sunday, look for the guy covered in sand and a quad in the back of his pickup. I'm planning on riding out at centerville beach and then headed to the show, gotta look classy after all

Look for the only Asian-Irish guy there with 4 people attached to him (me).

Well the show wasn't up to my expectations, probably because everyone bought everything on Satuday. Got the usual ammo and parts for the projects, but I picked up a Nagant Revolver (only need a Nambu, Beretta, and Webley to complete the WWII pistols). Also, Pulsar did you have a yellow quad in a truck driving to the show?

No, I didn't wind up making it, went to pull my 4 wheeler out of the garage yesterday and the chain came apart. Wound up spending about half the day scrounging through the shop to find the pin that holds the chain together, and by the time I got the chain back on the quad, it was pouring down rain and I didn't feel like driving my way out. And I wasn't in any real hurry to get to the show, was at the reno show about a month ago and I kind of ran out of funds because of that, picked up a pile of ammo and a lot of mags.

                        Ferndale

Went to the gun show Saturday. Had a good time, picked up a few odds and ends. Worth it just to get out and see friends and see what is for sale.
