Okay I’m back in Virginia for work and the pickings are definitely better than California. Made it over to Bass Pro where I found 5 boxes of Hornady 55gr FMJBT at $12 each, then the next day picked up a 100 round AE Value Pack or 5.56 at Dick’s for $42. Yesterday at lunch we swung by a combination pawn/gun/shooting range for a look around, they had a large box of Vietnam Era 20 round magazines for $19 each, I looked through and there were Colts, Universals, and Simmons that looked like they had more shelf wear than actual use, noticed on the shelf they had PMC Bronze for $11 a box so picked up 5 of those. My buddy who lives here picked up a Colt 9mm Carbine for $1,300 which included x3 thirty round magazines and the original box, I believe these were from the late 70 as the upper was bases on an A1. Tomorrow Dick’s has a truck coming in so will be stand in line when they open to see if I can pick up my three box limit of AE 223/5.56. I guess the message is that there is still a lot of product out here at fairly reasonable prices.
