Who does reblueing in SoCal ?

I have an old pistol that has some little rust and needs to have a finish applied.

I was thinking robar, but want to use someone locally.

I called Dean Wilkerson, but missed talking to him, So if any gunners out in SoCal know any gunsmiths that do this type of service?

Do I have to dros the pistol again, or will the work be done in a few hours?

Also, what would be some good ( blue gun ) finishes to apply to the pistol, it will be carried around the house, so the finish has to resist sweet, etc.

    Let me know, thank you

Are you talking about bluing, or some other coating? I'm not sure, but I think that California's environmental laws make it hard to do commercial bluing here, because of the chemicals used in the process.

I was talking about using some kind of finish like tennifer ( what glock has ) - or something rust resistant. I would like a classic dark blue finish, but then it could rust if I carry it. Thanks

As already mentioned, Dave's Metal Work's in Covina,626-859-0299.He offers bluing, hard chrome and Cerakote. There is a Cerakote color called Midnight Blue that looks like a satin blue finish.
Here's a link to his Cerakote page:

They may have the pistol for a few days to a couple of weeks, but it is your pistol and doesn't need to be re DROSed to be given back to you.
I think it can be confirmed that an alien xenomorph is absolutely no match for good ole' Alabama black snake!

                  and

If you're in a survival movie and the hot blond twists her ankle and can't walk, you damn well figure a way to carry her. If it's a dude, you shake his hand and say "best of luck".
