Have a fully loaded magazine only (no gun) inside a backpack while inside the cabin of a vehicle? A piggy back question off of that if legal is...would it still be legal if the gun for that magazine was locked up in the trunk inside the gun gase?

A lie about a wrongdoing becomes your future. The truth about a wrongdoing becomes your past. - UnknownComment

Only transport regulations for ammo, is that it cannot be "..in a position to be fired". NO FILLED MAGAZINES IN GUN. NO ROUNDS IN CYLINDER.
Ammo can be loose, boxed, or in magazines inside the same case as the gun. You can tape it to the hood if you want. No regulations on transport of magazines, either standard or neutered size."A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......CiceroComment
