Man, that does suck. Did you inform the CHP, Sherriff, and park rangers that there were firearms in the trunk of your car?

I know the feeling, I've had guns stolen before. Did you have insurance?

Yes, I told them all there were four rifles in the car. they still weren't interested and couldn't help me-

of course, the sherriff was interested as soon as they were stolen...

I'd appreciate any CalGuns members in the area keeping an eye open for them.

Would it hurt for him to fax a list list of serial numbers to all the FFL's around to see if they show up?

It shouldn't hurt. Once I compile a list, I'll be following up on it.

Good thing it wasn't too many guns or too much capital invested in those guns...when I read "my rifles are gone, all of them" I had a nightmare picture of 10's of thousands of dollars in rifles gone.

Still, that sucks. Get those serial numbers circulated as stolen, but unfortunately those guns are too common to stick out if they are sold.

Not the Mosin... Westinghouses are a little rare, especially ones with a 1903 front sight.

there are a few people always buzzing around out there.

definitely compile a list and we will keep an eye out.

you can always fax the list to local pawn shops, too.
