    STOLEN from truck

How's this for a welcome to California ...

April 1st wake up to walk the dogs 0700 walk to the park and check on the truck as I always do..
Only this morning the rear hatch was wide open ...I know I didnt leave it that way..
Call CHP and wait an hour only for cop to come out and try to fingerprint only one window (even though I had the thing detailed the night before)
Well long story short the GPS on the dash was gone and a lock box with my very much loved Ruger GP101 stainless 357..4 in barrel

Since I have no faith that the cops will do little more than just file a report..
I am putting the word out on the streets myself ,help me to keep a look out
If anyone finds one for sale please let me know ..

Sorry about what happened and hope you one day get the gun back.

Just another lesson though, don't ever give anyone an incentive to break into your vehicle. Out of sight out of mind for the most part. Even police vehicles get broken into for the guns.

Myself, I'd never leave a firearm overnight in any of my vehicles even in my own attached garage.

Location would help since people in the area can keep an eye out. Hope you find it.

I dont get why repo men are hated.... I guess people think its "wrong" for a paid employee to go retrieve a BANKS property because the "owner" was a flake or lost their job or whatever and couldnt pay for their car so the BANK had to go get it back....

Thats a lot different than someone STEALING your paid for item... Now if he owed money on his revolver and got it repo'd then it would be apples to apples LMAO

Wait what was the original question? I shouldnt drunkppost.

Just so everyone knows leaving a GPS on the dash inside of your car is a big invitation to vehicle burglary/theft. Those things are the hot item right now to steal. Also I hope it was'nt a GM truck. GM vehicles are so easy to break into it's not funny. A drill/screw driver + 10 seconds= easy access.

If you don't want to carry the GPS around, atleast take it off the dash and place it into the center consol/glove box and wipe away the suction cup mark.
