I just picked up a 5.45X39. Its just to ad to my current collection and felt it is a worthy round. From a cost per round and ballistics stand point it seems like a reasonable addition.
I don't know a lot yet although have read you can use a standard 223 30 round mag- seems tho after loading more than 15 20 rounds they have issues.. So in short it seems they work in a 223 mag..
Also the bolt sure looks the same but I know its different, funny tho the diff is hard to tell without calipers from what I see. It is clearly marked on the bolf 45x39 stamped. Carrier must be the same as a 223/5.56?
Any input on this cal or how they work in the AR platform..
