    suppressor or brake?

is this okay on my mini 30? I took it off thinking it was a flash hider but am having second thoughts. I don't want to get in any trouble by being stupid but if it's not illegal I'm putting it back on.

Seems like a flash hider to me, and Ruger sales literature refers to it as a "flash hider"

If it's specifically called a 'flash hider' or 'flash suppressor' anywhere that it's marketted or sold...it's probably not a good idea to have it on your rifle.

If the gas ports are evenly sized and spaced, it's not a compensator and probably not safe to put on a rifle.
