looking for info to b a first time ak owner

ok so i own quite a few ARs (1 18" custom built, 1 AR pistol, a lr308)(also a few others i have sold off)...2 1911's, and a savage 11 300win mag but im looking to buy or build an ak 47 and dont have a clue about it.

ak builder has had some useful information i think but im trying to own an ak for under 1000. i know i used to be able to buy them for that price but given the panic, no luck.

so basicaly this thread is open for anyone who can provide me with either a step by step guild with online links to purchase parts on how to build 1, with certain laws to be careful with. and contacts to help build the 80% things or flats or whatever

    or

lead me in the right direction and maybe set me up with someone who does know.

im located in sonoma county and would have no problem with FTF meets for show and tell around my area

*iv heard build parties are a great way to learn too, but cant find them out here

Your other option is converting a Saiga. Change the out the Trigger Group to a tapco G2 and add a pistol grip and a butstock functionally you have an AK. If you want a real AK after that change out the gas block and the gas tube add a lower Han-guard retention bracket and finally change out the stock Front sight block for the AK one and you pretty much have the Russian AK.
Just remember to keep the 922r in mind if doing this.

im thinking my best options are to either just buy an ak

        or

buy an ak parts kit w/barrel
buy a bent 80% - have someone teach me how to finish it and paint it maybe?
        buy US made trigger group
        buy a US made magazine

i do want the 7.62x39 round so the ak74 is out but im thinking either romanian, bulgerian, or egyptian...

the trigger group and magazine should take care of the 922r reqs
anything else im missing.. not sure what else i need.. here are the products i was thinking of buying.. let me know plz..

I baught a ak from these guys a few years back for 500 bucks
paid 50 for tax and 50 for transfer fee

Then i sold it for 550. Didn't like the platform, and stuck with the ar's

          Good luck with your AK47
