question about revolvers

Hi, I am not being silly, just trying to figure out my revolver, bought it new about 30 years ago. Its a colt trooper mk III 357 mag. I am trying to determine the length. I am measuring from the end of the barrel to where it meets the body of the gun 3.25". Would this be a 3" gun or a 4" gun.

you measure from the end of the cylinder to the end of the barrel.Yours is doubtless a 4" model since you did not include the barrel threads in the frame.
