Extended Controls

What do you guys think about extended controls on your edc guns? I've heard cons into running extended slide stop and mag release. Is it possible for something to fail?

Do you have a problem using the stock controls? If not, don't change them. Any part can fail, some parts may need fitting, easiest way to avoid a problem is to not create one.

I put em on the wifes glock, she is familiar with the slide lock and mag release on my 1911 so I put the extended version on hers so the commonality features are there. plus she has smaller hands and had trouble manipulating the stock mag release with her thumb but can hit the extended release.
