    Quick question about PPT

Hello all, sorry to ask this but I can't seem to find any info on this. I've searched http://oag.ca.gov/firearms/pubfaqs#3 and also "PPT" as well as other terms on these forums.

I would like to transfer my 10/22 I don't want anymore to my friend. I understand to do this, I will have to do a PPT where I will be charged no more than $35. I am fine with this, however, I can't seem to find anywhere if I have to be present with my friend for both FFL meetings (the 1st for DROS+etc, and the 2nd after the 10-day waiting period). Thank you in advance if you guys can please enlighten me!

NO, you only have to be there for the sale or trade of your firearm. Your friend can go alone to pick it up 10 days later. Also they will make you buy a lock if you don't have a safe.

Put an approved lock in the box with the gun, then your friend is "buying" your gun and a lock.
