$17 ea. I got me 4. I understand they ship them disassembled as a kit to California and here I cam block them into a 10/30 mag.

Actually no, they don't, they ship them as repair kits so you can repair the mags you've ALREADY owned before 2000. Any other reason and your both breaking state law...

You're wrong. Perfectly legal to block a mag to ten rounds.

                Also its you're not your.

I never said it was illegal to block to 10 rounds, read my reply then read the law.

Yes you did. You said any other reason. Blocking to hold ten rounds is another reason.

You think that buying 30 round mags NOT as repair kits is legal? Where've you been the last 13 years?

Brush up a bit here: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=387409

                        Readers digest version:
                        1. Yes, you can buy part kits to repair your existing magazines - but you cannot assemble them into complete "large-capacity magazines" inside CA - that would be manufacturing and that can be charged as a felony. Once you have a parts kit, you can resell it if you choose; the buyer may not assemble it into a complete magazine inside CA, either.
                        2. Yes, you can take one of those kits and create a 10-round magazine from the parts and some method of blocking the capacity; one example here. The modification is supposed to be 'permanent', but there is no guidance on what that means in law, regulation, or court cases. Use your best judgement.
To clarify the post I answered said the following:

Essentially what he's said is that he's buying magazine kits, not repair kits. He is also saying that he is buying a high capacity magazine kit for the purpose of assembling, not repairing an already damaged magazine. #1 clearly states you can buy repair kits.
