Target shooting with OLL and AK in Los Padres National Forest

Has anyone had any trouble with shooting their OLL or AK variants in the Los Padres NF.
I've always just taken my OLL to a friendly range but wanted to try something different and I have an area of the Los Padres NF that's fairly close and open to target shooting (not during fire restrictions obviously) but I hate being hassled about the legality of my weapons. Has anyone been hassled about shooting their OLL in the NF.
    Thanks.

I go north of Ft Hunter-Liggett (not quite to The Indians, but near the river) to get in a weekend of squirrel, coyote shooting, and my AR's are most often with me. I've only encountered one Ranger, and he was happy with my offer to let him shoot them.

'Course, now that the stupid Condor law is on, my shooting weekends there will be mostly done for.

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero
