    Question regarding used handguns

    Hello,

I may be buying a used handgun from someone here in CA that is a little too far away to drive to. Would it be possible for him to ship the firearm to my local FFL instead, or does he still need to be present like a normal transfer?

So he doesn't need to be present at my FFL when the transfer is done? Or he brings it to his FFL, who ships to my FFL?

Sorry, first time handgun buyer, and definitely first time used gun buyer.

          1. IF he ships it personally it Must be sent Air Freight Overnite to your FFL.
          2. He can have his FFL ship it to your FFL for a fee...
          3. Either way be prepared to pay Your FFL a rather large Fee to transfer to you (check around before hand for transfer charges among local FFL's)..
          4. If Buyer & Seller are not face to face at the time of transfer it No longer qualifies as a PPT..
          5. Glocks are everywhere, try to find one closer to you to save some $$$...

Okay, so it is perfectly fine to ship to my FFL if he ships overnight. My local FFL only charges $25 for a transfer, compared to my local store who charges $100. I'm fine with the $25 fee =)

And don't forget, if it's non-rostered it gets even more complicated.

Hate to have your seller ship it and then the receiving FFL not be able to release it to you.

Oh its a Glock 23 3rd Gen, definitely shouldn't be an issue there.
