Ares 80% Rudius 1911 Frames group buy #2 INFO THREAD

This is not a new group buy but since we were shut down at the original thread I've started this one as the gathering point for any information/updates regarding the Ares 1911 frames group buy #2

I am in San Diego and would certainly be in for one or two. Anybody want to share the jig?

Ares' site says that 1911 part kits (as well as everything else) is out of stock.

Thanks for starting this thread! And thanks again to fiferronald for doing the GB!I was wondering if it could be started elsewhere but noticed The Mod said we would have to do it via PM.
I can't wait to get started with the build!

correct my math if i am wrong

some people bought more than 1 frame or jig so this is a guess estimate:

                  lets say everyone bought (2 frames) $130 x 100 people = $26,000 ~+/-

                  or

                  just keeping it simple $130 x 100 people=$13,000 ~+/-

in either case that's a large sum of money and i and others would like to know what the status of these frames that we paid. Like others in this group buy we aren't being impatient but we bought them in Dec and now its almost end of Feb with no real information/lead-time on whats going on with them and it seems that people from GB1 are still waiting for theirs. Some frames are trickling down to keep the natives from getting restless. Question is how long will they keep doing this until they will get alot of unhappy customers. I was hoping to to have fun with this project but now im getting weary of every doing something like this again.

Another thing that peeves me is they advertise recently opened combat courses and the Feinstein website, well those are nice but cost money hope our money isnt involved in it.

It appears that the original thread is open again in this forum.

With the two GBs, they would have received anywhere from 25,000 to 40,000 dollars, so you bet your *** our money is involved.

Anybody else think its weird that we got ours shut down and had to move here, yet we were doing the same stuff that GB1 was/is doing in regards to comments or bumping?

Moderator may have taken offense to something I said after he said the thread had to follow the one bump in 24 hours rule. It's back open again.

Yea, I get the smart *** comment thing, i don't think it deserved the reaction that it did, i would think the moderator would be the bigger person on this. The other thread does the same thing we were doing, multiple comments a day and such, that is what i dont get.
