    Cancelling a Brownells Order

Ok, what am I missing. I'm trying to cancel a Brownells order (stated in stock but then I got the dreaded backorder notice the next day) but can't find an easy way to do it. There doesn't appear to be a cancel order button on any of the users account screens, the phone number is always busy when I call, and an e-mail request I sent a week ago has gone unanswered. Am I missing something or is Brownells just a real PITA black hole these days. Any tips?

Keep calling. I've never had a problem contacting Brownells.

I'm in the exact same boat. In a rush to order, I guess I missed the BO cancel option on the check out screen.

Tried calling several times over the last few days and I have never gotten anything other than a busy signal.

You might try e-mailing them. I canceled a Brownell's order that way once. Here is the contact I used: Julie.Hohenshell@brownells.com

I'm sure there are other names. I simply sent them an e-mail (to a general customer service address), and the above-named person promptly e-mailed me back, and the order got canceled. Easy.

I was able to call a couple days ago. It was early on the morning with about a 5 min wait. Just keep calling.

I've canceled an order via email with them with no issues. Sent it in the evening and got a response the next morning. Good luck :-)

Like everyone else, they are extremely busy and it's not easy to get through to them lately. I sent an email a week ago and never heard back which is really unusual for them. I then called and waited on hold for 10 minutes but once I got them on the phone they took care of a problem.

I've only ordered once from Brownholes and I plan to make it my last.
I needed 3 $40 items that were "In Stock" and was placing my order. Last second I decided to add a $5 part I could get anywhere.
Two days later I got the notice. The 3 important parts are BO with no ETA but the $5 part shipped at a shipping cost of $6 or $7.
I was so ticked off and cancelled the order. The part is still out of stock after 2 months.

I needed to cancel an order from J&G. Their phone line was busy all day so I tried early next morning and had no issue. Early bird gets the worm.

Thanks guys. Called before work this morning and eventually got through to an operator. Looks like early morning calling is the way to go with Brownells these days.

Also, the operator confirmed that there was nothing on my account regarding the e-mail cancellation requests I sent in over a week ago. Needless to say I'm not going to bother e-mailing them in the future.

                        Thanks again.

Glad you got ahold of them.

I think our emails got lost with the thousands of, "Any update on my BCG?"
