Colt 6721 In california?

Im shopping for another AR before I move to cal and found one in a shop but it doesent say "car Ar15" on it, it shows AR-15 a3 tactical carbine, model 6721.
I looked on the on and off list and dont see it on either one. Can anyone clear this up?

if it says Colt and AR anywhere in the rifle I would shy away from it.

There is a Colt off list receiver. I believe it is the Colt CAR-A3 H-BAR Elite or something close to that.

If it says Colt AR-15, than that would be banned. Regardless of what it says after it. The list says Colt AR-15's-All.

Why not just buy a Colt upper? Colt stocks aren't so hot. A lower is a lower nowadays...

There are no angelic voices nor sunlight pleasingly peeking through the clouds when a Colt lower and upper merge. You'll get the same performance from a Colt upper and OLL.

The Colt 6921 is a LE model, not an AR-15 model. Only the LE 6920 is banned, not the 6921.

The 6921 does not say AR-15 anywhere on the rifle.
The 6921 is marked "M4LE Colts Law Enforcement"
The 6920 is marked "Colts Law Enforcement Carbine"

Colt "Law Enforement (6920)" is the exact wording on the Kasler List

The Colt M4LE is not banned by name. Perhaps they should have said: Colt "Law Enforement (all)" but they did not.

The problem with the 6921 is it comes with a threaded 14.5" barrel, so one would need to get the flash hider permanantly fixed to the barrel to make it legal.

You should not rely on Colt models (like the 6721) having certain markings on the lower receiver. Colt can be strange and change things during production lifetime, and the 6721 lowers might well say "Colt AR15..." on it, or "Colt LE..." or even CAR-A3 (off-list).

You should NOT try to import any rifle marked "Colt AR15..." on it as those are listed.

I have a colt AR6721 Tactical 1/9 twist upper 16" HBAR with detachable handle for sale. SUPURB CONDIDTION!
I have the recipts, manual, where I bought it from. I paid 869 + tax. It is an upper only and it is practically brand new.

They probably didn't do this because the Colt 6921 are NFA Registered SBR's and SBR's are a no-no in CA already. Now if the OP could find a de-listed one, that's a different story but good luck with that.

On a tangent, if someone is interested in a new Colt 6921 upper (14.5", 1/7 twist, Chrome Lined with a perm. attached flash suppressor to make it a legal 16" upper), I might be able to help you out. PM me.

Since Colt sells 6921's as complete weapons, wouldn't they all automatically be NFA weapons? A FFL01 can't receive a "factory configured" complete 6921. Now a "de-listed" 6921 lower, like I said, is a different story....
