    Threaded barrels on handguns

My understanding is that in CA you cant have a threaded barrel on a handgun (like an HK MK24 for example) because CA fears the evil surpressor..

So how come AR pistols can have a threaded barrel? It's considered a pistol by CA law, yet it has a threaded barrel.

    What am I missing here?..

mag lock takes threaded barrel out of the equation,

don't forget having a mag lock means you can't have a mag with more than ten rounds

You have to have a magazine lock for a threaded barrel. You are right it gets confusing...

Thanks.. didn't know about the mag lock overiding the barrel threads.

Was just something I thought about today..

And you're right.. there's zero correlation between a mag lock and a threaded barrel.. gotta love this fd-up state..

              OK, here's a hypothetical situation....

A friend has a Sig Mosquito he brought in from Arizona with a threaded barrel. The gun has issues, and needs to be sent back to Sig.

What are the potentials & ramifications that his verbotten Mosquito will not be allowed to be shipped back to Cali? Will they notify the Po-Po? Will he be able to get them to fix the gun and ship it back to him? Inquiring minds want to know!!
