    Gunbroker Gripe

I hate gunbroker sellers won't ship to California, regardless of what it is. Left handed Remington 700? Can't ship to CA.

Seller located in CA? Won't ship to CA.

    What the heck?!

Some do ship to Ca. I purchased my Glock 27 and Springfield EMP from Gunbroker. Don't give up. I do agree though, many sellers have a bad attitude when it comes to Ca.

If a seller in CA won't ship inside his state, but will ship outside, it makes me doubt he will sell to a CA resident.

It was a FAL but as far as I could see, no bullet button. Possibly a RAW

Yeah I usually send the seller a message see if they will listen to reason sometimes they aren't even aware a item is legal in CA. they just assume they aren't legal in CA. more times than not unfortunately good luck !

                  Dear Mr. Xxxxx

I beg you to reconsider your No Shipping to California policy.

It is extremely easy to enroll in the California Firearms Licensee Check (CFLC) program. No fees are involved.

You just enroll once, online, using the information from your FFL, then whenever you ship to California you log onto the CFLC, enter the name of the FFL you're shipping to and then you get an approval number. You send the approval number to the receiving FFL and keep it in your file for three years with your other sales records. It's all automatic, done by the computerized system, no waiting. You can set this up in less than 10 minutes on your computer.

Here is all the information you need:

Quick Link - GO TO CFLC What is the California Firearms Licensee Check System (CFLC)? California Penal Code Section 27555 prohibits all Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs), other than Type 03 or 06 FFLs, from shipping firearms to a FFL in California unless, prior to delivery, the FFL intending to deliver, sell or transfer the firearms obtains a verification approval number from the California Department of Justice Bureau of Firearms. This includes transfers that occur at gun shows. The CFLC system validates a California FFL’s active status against the California Centralized List.

California Firearms Licensee Check (CFLC) Program Are there any costs or fees to obtain a Firearms Shipment Approval number from the Department of Jusice (DOJ)? I am not a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) but I want to ship a firearm from another state to an FFL in California. Do I need to obtain a Firearm Verification Number before shipping a firearm to California? I am an FFL in California. How does the CFLC program affect me? Are any California FFLs exempt from the CFLC verification approval requirement? I am an FFL located outside of California.

Welcome to the California DOJ Bureau of Firearms The Bureau of Firearms serves the people of California through education, regulation, and enforcement actions regarding the manufacture, sales, ownership, safety training, and transfer of firearms. Bureau of Firearms staff will be leaders in providing firearms expertise and information to law enforcement, legislators, and the general public in a comprehensive program to promote legitimate and responsible firearms possession and use by California residents. ATTENTION Ammunition Purchase Laws Are Still in Effect — Rhode, et al. v. Bonta, No.

Please let me know if I can change your mind.

                  Thanks,

                  CaliforniaLiberal

The guy on GB was obviously selling his RAW......which is verboten in Calif.

Please do a little more research before getting thy feathers ruffled.

Receiver is a DS Arms SA58 Imbel. Not listed.

Bullet button or grip wrap and good to go. If it were a registered AW, then de-register it!

EDIT: Correction on model of receiver.

Every gun I've bought through gunbroker came from another state. I don't give any business to the FUD spewing jokers, though if I see a really good deal, maybe I'll make the effort.

What I do hate about transfers however are the darn roster and the tax.

Tax on an out of state sale? The BOE can go plow itself. The FFL's are still making a decent profit on their transfer fees, so the use tax is redundant and only discourages purchases that would otherwise generate revenue for the FFLs.

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll hold off until I've moved to another state before I purchase firearms. Just isn't worth acquiring anything new while here in CA, IMO.
