Hello everyone,
I've been collecting knowledge as much as possible, but I'm sure the members here have VOLUMES more that I do. That being said here's my situation. I'm not quite retired yet, but my love of gunsmithing and firearms won't let me wait any longer to begin my little side business. In a nutshell I want to aquire a FFL so I may purchase parts to assemble and sell custom AR platforms. What I've learned so far is that I need to apply for the (1) business license, (2) special business permit, (3) home occupation permit, (4) EIN from the IRS, and (5) ensure the business is cleared with the zoning commission. Did I miss anything? Am I incorrect? I'd love any and all input. Keep in mind I'm trying to keep things as small time as possible until I'm officially retired and can devote more time to it.
