NRA Membership Card?

Well it was long overdue but last month I became an NRA member. I told them to forget about the magazine, I figured that money would be better used in defense of my rights.

Yesterday I received a package with a pocket knife and letter. I really like the pocket knife (except that it was made in China). The letter said congratulations for becoming a member and asked me to donate more money. Given current political llight this is understandable. But with the letter did not come with was a card stating that I was a member of the NRA.

How can I be a card carrying member of the NRA if they don't send me a card to carry?

Is there something more that I have to do or are they just not sending out NRA membership cards anymore?

They will send you your card, and a lot more mailings for donations.

yes they are sending them still. I just received mine the other day after about a 4 week wait. Never got my cammo range bag they said was to compliment my membership tho

Strange; usually with the knife offer, or any of the other trinket offers, you get your card FIRST with a survey-form you have to complete and send back to the NRA BEFORE they send you the promo knife, otherwise it isn't sent. Maybe you applied to the NRA through some third-party marketing/direct mail service at a gun show working for the NRA and didn't know it? And they handled the survey-portion, or some other process? (The NRA does use these third-party services).

Also, you can get the subscription to the magazines online as opposed to a hard-copy of the magazine, and still get all the same information. Personally, I like getting the magazine First-Freedom to have on my coffee table to remind guests exactly whose home they are in, in hopes they pick it up and learn something, and it's likely they wouldn't ever see that magazine in any other home or doctor's office.

Don't worry you will.... And then it just keeps coming. For some reason I don't get the online magazine anymore. Gotta check on that.

I paid for the lifetime and still havent received anything. Still waiting. As far as more donations that wont happen from me. I figure I did my fair share getting the lifetime. Others can step up and atleast get a year membership.

I joined in mid December and I just got my membership card 2 days ago. I imagine it's taking a while with all the new memberships.

I strongly recommend to call them back up and ask to be put on the "do not promote" list. I do not receive anything in the mail from them. Oh, and as was said, they are backed up.
