    Garage gun storage

Newbie question here, sorry if it's a repeat...
I have a 14 gun budget gun safe where I store my 10 rifles and 8 handguns in my garage. I am not worried about theft too much, but I am concerned about temperature extremes. I live in the desert so the guns won't be exposed to any freezing temperatures or much humidity, but 95+ degrees in the garage may be common. Is this a problem for the guns (wood stocks and synthetic)? What about the ammo? Is this something I should be concerned about or is it fine as is. Thanks

I'm sure there are folks with their own opinions, so here's mine.. I figure when they transport ammo in Afghanistan or Iraq for military use, they ain't using any air conditioning in the crates, so ammo should be able to withstand temps well over 100 deg F. The only thing I'd be concerned about is better understanding how quickly powder or primers degrade in those heat conditions.

I can't think of any specific damage that would occur to the guns themselves, considering that the barrel itself will get much hotter than ambient temperatures through normal usage.

Surplus rifles may "sweat" out Cosmoline, if they weren't previously bathed in mineral spirits, but I'm not so sure this is a real problem.
