    What would it solve?

I have liability insurance for accidents, a different policy for self defense, and a third policy for RO duties at USPSA events.

But, I am not doing drive bys, and the guys who do will never have insurance.

How so? If you are using the weapon for self defense for say a break in /home invation what will the insurance do? Pay some court fees? If this is the reason then I bring up again the courts and D.A themselves need to be brought to civil court for wasting your time and money for doing the jobs that cops can not do. If the criminal or his family sues and the courts allow it then they need to to be brought up all on civil cases.

Insurance never covers intentional acts so it's a moot point

The NRA self defense insurance does. ~$274 for $250K.

The USCCA has one for $300k.
