Futureweapons Show is fun to watch...

Finally had an evening to sit and watch some TV... watched a couple episodes of "Futureweapons" on the Military Channel. Pretty cool stuff that guy gets to play with. How do you get a job like that????

Coolest thing was the FA shotgun w/ a 20 round drum magazine. Saw a magazine article on it a while back, but great to see in action. They have a whole variety of shells to use with it... you can go w/ 00 buck or you can get really creative. One is actually a fin-stablized warhead that is effective out to almost 200 yds. Can be HE round, fragmentation round or armor piercing.

Gotta get me one of those!

Think we'd need a BB for it? Maybe some 10/20 drums too.

I just like the fact that the tolerances are so loose that you never have to clean it!

I like Future Weapons. Mac cracks me up. He is always whispering. Outdoor range, rifles being fired, explosives being detonated, yet he still whispers.

My two favorite rifles seen on that show was the Masada and Barret 6.8 I would love either one of those.

He is an anti-gun guy and he said. "Well, you can't eat ammunition". I replied with "When I'm starving to death with a case of ammunition, who's door do you think I am going to knock on?"

That guy is an obnoxious tool who feigns knowledge of all things gun-related yet screws up VERY basic things. His hyperbole is also annoying because everything is just AMAZING (yes, I know it is his job to play everything up).

Exactly, the guy can even try to make a fruitcake sound like the deadliest weapon ever created.

First show, he touted that he was with the Navy SEALs. Later shows has him saying he WAS a Navy SEAL.

Big difference between being a clerk on Coronado, and being on a team.

I have yet to get through a show that he fails on some info. Case in point, the Masada. Shows him taking careful aim, and alleges to hit 300m out.......but the barrel's down angle and sound signature of the impact say otherwise. And so what? 300m with an assault rifle is NORMAL and EXPECTED!

Nah, the show is for those who will never research nor get involved in reality.

An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

True, but it's more fun than watch Smash Lab.

                          That's Baldo the Wonder SEAL.

He did mention he was a SEAL while whispering, right?

I like the part when he's narrating the gun "the AA-12 is made of 7 stainless steels making it practically maintenance and lubrication free", then the gun jams.
