Im fairly new to calguns and Im sure this has been brought up before at some point in time. However, I have noticed many that have been members for quite some time with virtually no posts what so ever. One actually in the marketplace selling a completed 80% lower. Illegal isnt it? Others almost sounding harsh or in some sort of defense about many of our views and concerns.
Any chance that we have some spies amongst us? Just kinda makes one wonder how and where they are getting alot of their info. I mean really, they do keep saying high capacity ****ing clips. And the new evil assault bullets.Theyre obviously not too savy...

I've been a member for quite a while but only recently started posting. I'm sure there are probably some on here that are against the consensus here but you will always have that. People probably seem harsh or defensive because they feel that their rights are being violated and when something affects someone personally they get more passionate about it. As for the clips and assault bullets, probably can blame the media for that one.

I read a thread in the market place where the buyer who had 21 posts and became a member in 2007.

Ive also seen people rack up over 20,000 post within a 6 month period.

Some just on here to shop or read info. Some like myself chit chat out of boredom.

I'm sure there are other forums being spied upon for anti reasons, including this one.

Thats kinda funny, Im reading this post and realizing Ive never posted here on CG ever. Yay first post!

Im here to read/learn and look at for sale stuff. I try not to get caught up in most things, okay a 'loner' if you must.
Theres more like me out there, we dont say much, but we're there.
Ive built 2 ARs and converted a Saiga12 since learning of CalGuns. From CalGuns I learned I can own the evil(looking) guns that we're all told are too dangerous for mere peasants like us to own.

OP: No, selling an 80% lower is not illegal in of itself. There's plenty of info around here in the stickied threads (stuck threads?) and what not.

This sort of internet snobbery always befuddles me. Bill Gates could sign up on an MS forum and have plenty of teenagers with 5,000 posts in two months screaming "STFU NOOB!" at him. I for one do not equate logorrhea with intelligence.

The sign-up date thing: I've seen, on Calguns, people deride others who signed up a few months later than they did, even though both had signed up years ago. Fascinating.

I realize selling an 80% in itself is fine. But it was posted that it had been machined and completed. Nothing was mentioned that it had been given a serial number or anything. I was just thinking maybe it was some kind of bait to lure an illegal purchase. And no the OP is not a spy Im very passionate about my rights and my favorite hobby. I didnt post this thread to call anyone out or to offend anyone. Like the thread title says... It was just a thought.

No one is selling illegal items in the market place. You are the questionable one since you are the one spreading lies in the form of a question. That's how distrust in an organization is started....oh you are just asking a question... sowing the seeds that take hold in the people who don't know.

Yeah I read a post on Calguns where a guy was saying they sell illegal firearms while questioning if the sale was a trap.

The only people who really care about clips vs magazines are the anal ones. I could care less what you call them.

I don't know what you are saying about "sounding harsh" or defensive about your concerns. People are people, everyone has an opinion and its healthy to debate. Most people are mirrors and treat you as you treat them.

Everyone is allowed to join here. Yes there are several Liberals here who rejoice in rubbing our noses in the new laws....big deal. Many of us are on their forums as well...
