^Agreed^ and I do believe that what LaRue is doing is a good thing. But be careful for what you wish for. Do you guys really want the PD showing up to your family, friends or parents 911 call for help, equipped with a 7 round magazine or other inferior equipment? There has to be a balance, unfortunately in our state that balance is skewed.

If I understand you correctly, you may be misinterpreting Barrett's action, which is something I see fairly often on other, non-CA based sites, to mean Barrett stopped all sales to residents of CA in order to toughen' 'em up and force them to force their legislators to change the laws. He didn't. You can still buy all the legally configured Barretts you can afford, what he did was stop sales and service to CA state and local agencies.

Its a publicity stunt by Larue with no real teeth. Agencies do not buy LaRue rifles, individuals buy LaRue rifles.

ETA*** Barrett flat out refused sales or service to CA agencies, that's balls. Not this piddly little half assed publicity stunt by LaRue. Y'all got taken for a ride if you think this means a damn thing to LaRues bottom line, you should be offended that LaRue is playing you for a bunch of morons, instead, you are drinking up every last drop of the kool aid.

I'm guessing it will cause a slight rise in sales, due to sympathetic purchases. Holding agencies to the same restrictions as the gen pop I can certainly agree with. It may not be as punitive as an outright ban, but it's certainly fair.
