    Bullet button question

Sorry if this has been covered but I tried the search function and I didn't come up with anything.

I did a ffl transfer from out of state for a new frontier armory polymer lower. The lower was shipped to my ffl with a regular mag release and lpk installed.

I know the law in regards to featureless builds and the lower already has a pistol grip so do I legally need to put a bullet button on it right now? Is it a felony to have a built lower with no bullet button?

Thanks in advance for the help.

No bullet button needed since a lower is not a center fire rifle. You only need to install one if you're going to put a center fire upper on it and you're not going featureless.
Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison

The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87 (Pearce and Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)

Okay, perfect. That's what I was thinking but I wasn't positive. Thanks for the info.

However, not all FFLs understand the law. Some may require a mag lock on it period. Check with your FFL to make sure.

Ya i picked up the lower today from San Jose Gun Trader. They are great. But there are a few local ffl that gave me a hard time about receiving an out of state lower.
