Should I buy this?

So I have an opportunity to buy an HK SL8-1 for $1,000

I won't go into the useless details but here's the lowdown:

-Very low round count

-Comes with 5 mags

-Perfect condition

I'm just hesitant because I'm not this will be my only big purchase in the near future, and I really want a colt AR(once/if prices are normal). It's currently a RAW and the owner would withdraw RAW status and put a kydex grip on it.

Any reasons that I should/shouldn't do it? Thanks in advance!

the way things are right now, I would consider that SL-8 to be a very good deal. buy it! but they use proprietary mags

Yes but you have to fill out the forms and wait until "approval" but I think if its banned by name than its a no go in CA.
