Question on dros 10 day wait?
Tags: None -
It depends on the store. Some places will be a day late so they don't have to insure it's after a certain time of day like 12pm. I think Big5 and a few other places do this. Also if they are closed on the 11th day then it would be pushed back to day 12.
As if 10 days wasn't long enough right??? lolsigpic

if you bought it 1/29, your 10 days are up on 1/8/13 after 12pm, not 1/7/13. also, some gun shops just make it 11 days to cut down on employee screw ups. its their policy, and you agreed to it when you bought the gun. whats the store?Originally posted by KestryllThis guy is a complete and total idiot.

I called and the man told me that it was because they closed on Sunday but I bought it on a Tuesday and from my count ten day 24 hours is on thursday the 7 he also told me it was in fact ten days only for there store and if I wanted to try on Thursday after 12 I can but if it doesnt work then I would have to pay again I don't understand what do I have to pay again do they have to redo the dros if I come to early for pick up? He did not make any sense to me maby he did not understand what I had asked him in the first placeComment

It was buy sell loan pawn shop by the way and yes you guys are right it is the 8th for ten daysComment

there is nothing you can do about it. store policy and thats it. be happy you found a gun you like. alot of people are searching longer than 10 days for a gun that they want.Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

You should be able to pick up on Friday the 8th if it is 10 days. But if it is store policy then you are screwed.
Rule of thumb, never buy a gun on a Thursday. Most shops are closed on Sundays.
Not saying you did just putting that out there.Firearms successfully returned by the CA Department of Justice. Probation expires October 2014.

the law says no less than ten 24 hour periods....
29th @ 12 = Clock starts
30 @ 12 = 1
31 @ 12 =2
1 @ 12 = 3
2 @ 12 = 4
3 @ 12 = 5
4 @ 12 = 6
5 @ 12 = 7
6 @ 12 = 8
7 @ 12 = 9
8 @ 12 = 10
so if they are open on 2/8/13 you may pick up the firearm AFTER 12:00 pm...unless its a store that forces an extra day, which is allowed since the law says, "at least" or "no less than"Comment

Few LGS do an 11 day wait to avoid any hassle (SBR, Wild Sports, Big5).*********************
WTS:
1. PW 800+ Hydro Multispeed (just the hydraulic unit that also works with Spolar press)
2. PW 800B converted to 800C (12 gauge) with lots of accessories and upgrades

Be happy if it only takes 10 days to get it. You could be one of the lucky winners of the DOJ BOF indefinite DROS delays that have been going around.Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison

That would really suck balls if I got delayed ten days feels like a month alreadyComment

I'm on day 15 and it sucks. The worst part is not being able to get anything other than a generic response from the DOJ when I call to inquire about my delay. I know my record is clean and they're claiming that it could be that someone with the same first and last name as me is prohibited. Strange how that could happen since they have my full name, DOB, SS#, CADL #, and address. The only explanation is that they are either incompetent or doing this on purpose. Hopefully I get a call this week that I can come pick it up.Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison
