I know this is in the wrong section, but I wasn't able to post in the correct section. I live in Nevada, but am going to be visiting OC next weekend. I am a Licensed Nevada CCP/CCL/CCW holder, but I am aware that California does not recognize it. So my question is, what do I need to be aware of when bringing my CCW? How would it need to be kept/ transported? Any other info would be very helpful. Thank you.

Unloaded, in a locked case (soft-sided or hard case).
Ammo may be in mags/speed loaders; ammo may be in the same case.
The case may be carried anywhere in your vehicle that you like.
You may load and carry in your hotel room or temporary place of residence, but not outside.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good! -
As long as it is not the vehicle's glove/utility compartment.
While in CA, if you take the unloaded handgun out of the lock box in your vehicle, it will need to be in a locked container.
Also...
You can not legally bring any large capacity (11+ round) magazines into CA.
You can not legally bring any prohibited firearms (DD, MG, SBR, SBS, assault weapons) into CA.
Under CA laws, some handguns are considered to be SBR/SBS and/or assault weapons.sigpic
