    Bonehead move..

So today I went to the shooting range to shoot my XD40 (home protection firearm), which I haven't shot in several months because I was too lazy to buy ammo for it.. I packed up the newly bought .40s, along with my 1911 and some .45s, and was all ready to go.. both the XD40 and the 1911 case were in my bag..

I arrived at the shooting range, got my lane and targets and was set to shoot.. unpacked my 1911, and realized I had left my XD40 in the safe at home.. DUOH!!! Not the first bonehead moved I've had with my XD40.. I've left all my mags at home before, but thank goodness the range had an extra XD40 mag for me to use.. haha..

BTDT. I think just about everybody has left their mags at home at least once. .

Took the wife to the range today & found I had all the magazines this time but her Mosquito was at home.

She didn't mind. We had my 22/45 and 1911. She really likes to shoot the 1911.

Short term memory is the first to go.

        If I can remember correctly.

You should put your parts back in the firearm and perform a function check after cleaning so that you know your weapons work.

I was afraid you were going to say you loaded .40 into your 1911.
I won't admit to that boneheaded maneuver.
