    Legally & Correctly Sell A Rifle Thread/Guide?

The "Search" function was not my friend, so I have to ask:

Anyone have a link to a thread or guide here that details the process of correctly selling a rifle?

I'm thinking of selling my USC and want to be sure to do it the right way.

    Thanks!

    Price it
    Place ad
    Find buyer
    Close deal
meet at FFL for private party transfer.

Doesn't need to be too technical. If it is legally configured for you to own then it will be for your buyer (sans any hi cap magazines).

The DROS will confirm that the buyer is legally able to make a firearms purchase.

Edited to add: Also be sure the FFL you use is ok with doing the USP transfer before hand.

If gun is 50yrs or older and on the C&R list though, it is just cash and carry if done FTF.

Isn't another option is to ship it to an FFL (get a faxed or emailed/scanned copy of the FFL) and have the new buyer do a Transfer & DROS? Say if the new buyer is kinda far away or in another state.
