    Looking to sell but unsure!

So this is my first ar15 got it off a friend who needed some cash. Doubt I will be hanging on to it for very long since its going to be expensive to shoot. Got too many other hobbies going on blah blah blah you know how it is.

I want to sell but I dont know what to ask for it.

All i know is that its a Double Star 5.56 lower. Its only had maybe 200 rounds through it. I cleaned it once I got it. Comes with 1 10rd mag.

What would you value it at it?

Oh yeah sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

    Yea, wrong forum.

I would maybe value it at ~$600-700,but current prices should get you a least $1000

What about this gun sets its value at 600-800 range? I got lazy and didnt do much searching about it so im not sure about the quality and value. Just trying to get some facts about it.

It's a plain Jane AR and the A1 upper isn't very popular with a 16" barrel. You might be able to get $1000 for it right now since there is still some panic but that seems to be slowly coming back down.

From what I understand Double Star is not the premier hardware. Who knows what anything is worth nowadays. As far as one is willing to bend over I suppose. Some will grab their knees and a few their ankles.

The lower really means nothing, what is the maker of the upper, barrel, and BCG? That will help with pricing. I hope you didn't pay much for it thinking it was worth a lot.

1200-1500 may be the current "asking" prices but it's not the "getting" prices. $800 max in a normal world. I expect them to be flooding the market in a few months so sell while you can before they start going 2 for 1.

Put in on Gunbroker.com and let the market determine its value.

Ask the guy who you bought it from. Without any of that then who knows what you have since there are hundreds of companies that make these parts. Some endure more rigorous testing then others and so they are priced higher.
