    New purchase: Taser M26c

I just bought a Taser M26c with a high rise holster. The holster sits completely at belt level and above. I often find myself in less than safe neighbors and plan to carry it for personal protection. I also plan to get certified on it, just in case I do have to use it someday, god forbid, and have to explain myself in court.

    Any other thought or advise?

    How well does it conceal?

Isn't the M26C their oldest version? The X26 is slightly more concealable. However I prefer the X2's second shot and drive stun capability even at the cost of added bulk.

The X2 is very, very wide and would not conceal what-so-ever from the looks of it. While the M26 is much older (2000), the effectiveness is equal to the much more expensive x26. It is also still carried by most law enforcement agencies. The x26 would be more concealable but my personal opinion is the extra 550ISH is not worth that trade off. Also the M26/X26 also allow stun for drive with or without a cartridge attached. I am mainly looking for any advice for anyone else that has or does carry a taser. I do know that you do not want to carry them inside cloths as ESD can accidentally set the taser off, even when not armed. I will post pictures soon with the holster and how it conceals.

I carry a C2 on my belt. More concealable, can drive taze, up to a 30 second taze. Shorter range but you really want to engage from 6-10 feet anyway.
I've been tazed a couple times (absolutely, I'm that stupid) - Jesus they work.

The M26 is an old and bulky design. It does work though as long as it is charged up. It would be hard to conceal. I hope you got it cheap. We haven't used them for years.
